Sylvester Stallone slams producer Irwin Winkler over ownership battle

• Sylvester Stallone attacked Irwin and David Winkler on social media.
• The Winklers are the co-producers of the Creed movies.
• The actor called David’s new book “worthless dreck”.

Sylvester Stallone attacked Irwin Winkler and his son David Winkler on social media. Irwin Winkler is the producer of the Rocky and Creed movie series, and David Winkler is also a producer of the Creed movies.

Stallone criticized David’s new book, The Arrangement: A Love Story, on Instagram on Saturday. He said it was “by far the worst” book he had ever read. Stallone went on to say that the “unbearable worthless dreck” was written by “the painfully untalented David Winkler.” The actor then called David’s father, Irwin Winkler, “the remarkably untalented and parasitical Producer of Rocky and Creed.”

The actor then wrote that he “respected and loved” Irwin’s producing partner, Robert Chartoff, who also made the Rocky movies and was a producer on the first Creed movie before he died in 2015.

“If it wasn’t for Winkler there would’ve been at least another three Rocky’s, that would’ve been wonderful,”  said Stallone.  “Frankly that crew are the worst unhuman beings I’ve ever met in the movie industry. I will forever love the loyal fans and keep punching.!!! REMEMBER IT FEELS GOOD TO CLEAR YOUR HEART.”

All of the Creed movies, including the upcoming Creed III, are produced by Stallone, Irwin, David, and Charles Winkler, among others. Carl Weathers played Apollo Creed in the Rocky movies. In the Creed movies, Michael B. Jordan plays Apollo Creed’s son.
