Soompi claimed on September 17 that BLACKPINK’s latest album Born Pink sold over one million copies on its first day of release.

According to Hanteo Chart, Born Pink sold a whopping 1,011,266 copies.

BLACKPINK’s second studio album Born Pink, which includes the title tune Shut Down, has soared to the top of music charts throughout the world.

With this recent accomplishment, BLACKPINK has surpassed SEVENTEEN and BTS as the third-highest first-day sales overall.

BLACKPINK is a South Korean girl group comprised of four members: Lisa, Rose, Jennie, and Jisoo. They were also the first K-pop group to surpass 1 billion views on YouTube.
