On Saturday in New Delhi, Kamal Haasan walked with Rahul Gandhi during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. After the stroll, Kamal posted photos of Rahul Gandhi walking alongside him on his Twitter account.

In one of the pictures, Kamal can be seen supporting the Congress leader by holding his hands. Rahul Gandhi opted for a grey polo t-shirt with black pants while Kamal Gandhi wore a grey sweater with black pants and a black coat.
Rahul Gandhi, on the other hand, also released a picture of Kamal and him from the occasion. He tagged it with, “We walk for an India where no one lives in fear, and everyone finds a better future. #BharatJodoYatra.”

During the walk, Kamal said upon reaching the Red Fort, “Many people ask me why I am here. I am here as an Indian. My father was a Congressman. I had various ideologies and started my own political party but when it comes to the country, all political party lines have to blur. I blurred that line and came here.”
“I stood in front of the mirror and said to myself – this is the time when the country needs me the most. Then a voice came from inside me ‘Kamal… don’t help break India, help unite’,” he also said.
Swara Bhasker joined Rahul Gandhi earlier this month in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Along with her, TV personalities Rashami Desai and Akanksha Puri participated in the Maharashtra campaign for the Congress. The Bharat Jodo Yatra in Maharashtra included veteran actor Amol Palekar and his wife, the writer-director Sandhya Gokhale.
Riya Sen and Pooja Bhatt were among the first famous people to be spotted with Rahul Gandhi. He has travelled close to 3,000 km so far. The 3,570 km he will travel to cover 12 states is expected to be completed by the end of the following year.
