PM Imran Khan has said that the government is striving to provide affordable and environmentally friendly electricity to the people.

According to details, PM Imran Khan while addressing the signing ceremony of contracts of Azad Pattan Hydropower Project said that the hydropower project would help in generating cheap electricity.

He said that another project of hydropower project has been signed today as the real need of our country at present is investment and investment has come through hydropower project, this investment will benefit the country and burden the economy.

He said that hydropower project is clean energy which will benefit the country as the world is moving towards green energy at present and Pakistan also wants to make this green energy a part of its country. There will be no harm from this.

He said in his address that Pakistan could have produced cheap electricity in the past but by importing oil, expensive electricity was generated and generating expensive electricity has made a difference in every sector of the country.

In his address, Prime Minister Imran Khan clarified that another project included in the CPEC has been agreed in the form of a hydropower project.

Earlier, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Chairman CPEC Authority General (retd) Asim Bajwa has said that Pakistan is moving towards affordable and green electricity.

According to details, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Chairman CPEC Authority General (retd) Asim Bajwa said in his message on social networking site Twitter that the Pak-China Economic Corridor Project has crossed another milestone today.
