Karachi introduces the Pink Bus Service tailored for women, revolutionizing public transportation....
As Pakistan gears up to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha, one of the most significant festivals in the Islamic calendar, preparations are underway for the grand opening of Asia’s Largest Cattle Mandi 2024 on May 10th. Situated in Northern Bypass, Taiser Town, this year’s Mandi promises an array of additional facilities for buyers and sellers, showcasing sacrificial livestock from across the country, spanning various breeds and farms, all contributing to the performance of Sunnat-e-Ibrahimi.
Expanding over a sprawling 1000 acres and segmented into multiple blocks, the Cattle Mandi 2024 is poised to set a new standard in modernization and convenience. Both buyers and sellers will benefit from meticulously planned infrastructure, ample vehicle parking, heightened in-mandi security with comprehensive camera surveillance, accessible banking services, animal medical inspections, and various additional amenities. Moreover, provisions for food and clean water ensure the well-being of the livestock arriving for Qurbani from all corners of the nation.
To guarantee the safety of buyers, robust security measures will be implemented, including additional Rangers and police pickets. While the Cattle Mandi has been a traditional fixture at Sohrab Goth for many years, its relocation to Taiser Town Northern Bypass last year was necessitated by the rapid expansion of residential areas and the need to ensure public safety amidst increasing highway traffic. Despite this transition, the Mandi generated significant business activity worth PKR 8 billion during the previous Eid-ul-Adha season.
Dubbed Maweshi Mandi, the Cattle Mandi 2024 is poised to attract thousands of buyers and sellers this year, thanks to enhanced facilities and amenities provided by the authorities. This underscores its vital role in fostering economic growth and supporting households, including seasonal and mainstream livestock owners, transporters, growers, and myriad suppliers and vendors who contribute to organizing this annual fair.
As the final preparations unfold, citizens are eagerly anticipating the opportunity to partake in this cherished tradition. The Cattle Mandi 2024 embodies the spirit of Eid-ul-Adha and Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage, promising to be a source of joy, unity, and celebration for all involved.
