Actress Deepika Padukone also shared her opinions about the need to seek support for mental health. She wrote in a post, “As a person who has had a lived experience with mental illness, I cannot stress enough about the importance of reaching out. Talk. Communicate. Express. Seek help. Remember, You are not alone. We are in this together. And most importantly, there is Hope,”

In another post, Deepika also asked to appropriately report about suicide. “My dear friends in the media. Criminals commit a “crime”. People don’t commit suicide. They ‘die by suicide’. Their actions arise out of deep anguish. Thank you.”

Bollywood actor Shushant Singh Rajput died after reportedly committing suicide. The preliminary post-mortem report says that he died because of asphyxia due to hanging.
Asphyxia is a condition arising when the body is deprived of oxygen, causing unconsciousness or death.
Shushant was found hanging in his Bandra residence on Sunday morning. Police said that no suicide note was found.
