Kangana challenges warrant issued in defamation suit by Javed Akhtar

Actress Kangana Ranaut has challenged a bailable warrant against her by the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate Court.

As per the details, the veteran screenwriter had filed a complaint against Ranaut after she gave an interview to the local media.

Reports say that statements made by Queen actress hurt Akhtar’s reputation. Akhtar had also alleged that his name has been unnecessarily mentioned in the suicide case of Sushant Singh Rajput.

He also claimed that the video interview gained a lot of views on YouTube and the website.

Reports say that Javed Akhtar has sought cognizance for the offense of defamation committed by Ranaut and punishable under the Indian Penal Code.

The appeal by Magistrate Court was filed on March 10 and the Additional sessions Court will hear it on March 15.
