Muhammad Ejaz Swati

Early Life and education

Muhammad Ejaz Swati was born on 6 June 1963 in Quetta. He is the son of Muhammad Nawaz Khan.

He completed his primary and secondary education from Tameer-i-Nau Public School, Quetta in 1978. He graduated and received his M.A in English from the University of Balochistan.

He completed his LL.B from University Law College, Quetta in January 1988 and entered the legal profession.

Legal Career

Muhammad Ejaz Swati started his legal career after enrolling as an Advocate of the Balochistan High Court on 28 November 1991.

Several years later, he was enrolled as an advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan on 18 April 2007. He had practiced law for over 22 years before the lower courts, Balochistan High Court, Federal Shariat Court and Supreme Court of Pakistan.

During his extensive legal career, he conducted innumerable criminal, civil and constitutional cases that have been reported in law journals.

Justice Ejaz Swati was also appointed as Judge Anti-Terrorism Court in Turbat on 5 March 2002. He resigned from the post on 14 October 2003.

He was appointed as legal advisor of National Bank of Pakistan on 27 October 1994 and served the panel of legal experts. He participated in First Provincial Judicial Conference held on 14 April 2002.

Balochistan High Court

Justice Muhammad Ejaz Swati was elevated as Additional Judge of Balochistan High Court on 30 August 2013.

He was confirmed as Judge of the Balochistan High Court on 2 September 2015. He is expected a judge of the court till his retirement on 5 June 2025.
