Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood

  • In September 2018, Major General Shaheen Mazhar was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General in the Pakistan Army.
  • He retired from the Pakistan Army in September 2022.
  • In March 2018, he was conferred the Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) for his services to the Pakistan Army.

Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood belongs to the Khattak tribe and hails from the village of Dhandi Edal Khel, Karak located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In September 2018, Major General Shaheen Mazhar was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General in the Pakistan Army.

Lt Gen Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood served as Commander of Corps XI in Peshawar in October 2018 to November 2019.  He was replaced by Lt Gen Nauman Mahmood.

On November 25, 2019, Lt Gen Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood was appointed Commander of the Army Central Strategic Command known as Corps Strike 1 in Mangla, Azad Kashmir.

The Corps XI 1 is one of major strike corps in the Pakistan Army. He retired from the Pakistan Army in September 2022.
