Suppliers & Vendors Defense Exhibition 2020 to be held at Expo Lahore

The second edition of “Suppliers & Vendors Defense Exhibition SAVDEX-2020”, in collaboration with Defence Export Promotion Organization (DEPO) and the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry, will be held at the Expo Center Lahore from February 27 to 29th.

It was revealed by Brig. Syed Ali Ammar Haider and the LCCI President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh while addressing a Press Conference regarding SAVDEX 2020 at LCCI on Monday. The LCCI Senior Vice President Ali Hussam Asghar, Vice President Mian Zahid Jawaid Ahmed, Commodore Tariq Mahmood and LCCI Executive Committee members were also present.

Brig. Syed Ali Ammar Haider and LCCI President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh said that SAVDEX is an effort towards realization of Public-Private partnership and collaboration in defence manufacturing industry of Pakistan.
They said that the Exhibition will serve as a bridge between defence industry entrepreneurs, traders, R&D Specialists, Financial experts, startups and policy makers for capability enhancement and cost effective businesses, they added.

They said that the event will be attended by ministers, cabinet members, members of the standing committees, foreign diplomats, senior military leadership, public and private sector defence industry stakeholders, entrepreneurs, defence suppliers, vendors, startups of various universities, members of various chambers of commerce of Pakistan, along with large number of media personnel. They said defense export policy is on the way, We want to produce more in local level and enhance our production capacity in private sector. We also want to export defense production in international market as well. SAVDEX become bridge to public and private sector. We promote and give facilities to private entrepreneur in this exhibition. We also give registration facility at this level as well, they added.

Commodore Tariq Mahmood said that Defence Export Promotion Organization (DEPO), is committed to promote defence production potential of public as well private sector industry of Pakistan.
