Cryptocurrency lender Celsius Network said it is investigating “strategic transactions” and “restructuring” its obligations in an effort to mitigate the repercussions of its recent decision to freeze user withdrawals.

Celsius is one of the numerous companies that have taken extreme measures in response to the recent precipitous decline in bitcoin values. Due to “extreme market conditions,” Celsius banned users from withdrawing digital assets in mid-June. The value of Bitcoin has decreased by 16% after the announcement. During the economic slump, crypto firms such as Coinbase have laid off large numbers of employees.

In a brief blog post published on Thursday, Celsius stated that it was “focused and working as rapidly as possible to stabilise liquidity and operations” but did not elaborate on its objectives.

“These exhaustive explorations are complex and take time, but we want the community to know that our teams are working with experts from many different disciplines,” it said.

Bitcoin exchange In recent weeks, FTX has leveraged its relatively better bank sheet to rescue industry players such as BlockFi and Voyager Digital. Bloomberg reports that Celsius contacted FTX for a bailout but was rebuffed.
