Prominent actor Ali Kazmi is all set to be starred in his upcoming movie ‘Funny boy’. It will be released on Netflix on 10th December.
The movie will feature unrest in Sri Lanka during the war between Sinhalese and Tamil during 1970-80. ‘Funny Boy’ has been inspired by the novel Funny Boy, by Sir Lankan writer Shyam Selvadurai.
Actors including Ingram, Nimmi Harasgama, Kazmi, Agam Darshi, Seema Biswas, Rehan Mudannayake, and Shivantha Wijesinha will be ready to appear in the movie.
‘Funny Boy’ involves Tamil protagonist Arjie’s (Arush Nand/Brandon Ingram) sexual awakening from a young boy, deemed “funny” by disapproving family, to a teenager enamored by a male classmate, just as political tensions escalate, leading up to the civil war.
