‘Move away from scandal’ Ma Anand Sheela advises Priyanka and Alia

Ma Anand Sheela has spoken up regarding Priyanka Chopra and Alia Bhatt’s rumored plans to play her in a film, as well as her advice to them.

Ma Anand Sheela, the controversial former aid to Bhagwan Shri Rajneesh (after known as Osho), has spoken out about the two competing biopics about her, one starring Priyanka Chopra and the other purportedly starring Alia Bhatt.

Ma Anand Sheela remarked in a new interview that she hopes the two projects can avoid focusing solely on the issues in which she has been involved.

Asked about the narrative projects being made about her, she told journalist Puja Talwar, “Well, I sometimes chuckle. Sometimes they will have to do deep searching into my character. They have to move a little bit away from scandal. And I don’t know if they can. And if they don’t, I take it as an impression of me they are doing.”

Sheela rose to fame after appearing in the 2018 Netflix documentary series Wild Wild Country, which focused on Rajneesh’s ashram in Oregon, which he established with Sheela’s help and the major scandal that led them to close down and permanently damaged their relationship.
