An Act Of Generosity: Ed Sheeran Donates His Favorite Guitar To Raise Funds For Primary School.
In an effort to aid a primary school in his birthplace of Framlingham, Suffolk, Ed Sheeran has given away a customized guitar constructed for his most recent album.
Sheeran donated the instrument as part of a raffle prize to Sir Robert Hitcham’s CEVA Primary School to help fund a music pod and disabled access amenities.
The said guitar is made by Gorge Lowden, who has been the singer’s guitar maker for the past six years. In a video message, the 30 year old said: “there is not another guitar like this. This is the guitar that gets sent to me to check that all the other guitars are right- says prototype in it.”
The founder of GeeWizz Gina Long said: “we are so grateful to the singer for this wonderful donation. It is indeed a true reflection of his generosity towards his community.”
Sheeran has also contributed three signed Ipswich Town Football Club home shirts for the 2021-22 season to the raffle’s three runners-up.
