Katie Price and Carl Woods splits and calls off their wedding due to an ongoing court case

KATIE PRICE and Carl Wood have called it quits on their engagement.

The 43-year-old glamour model and 33-year-old car salesman were set to marry this year and had been trying for a child.

“Katie and Carl have decided to split up,” several sources close to the couple said. It’s been a difficult couple of months, and their ongoing court cases have only added to the stress.

“It appears to be over for the time being, and they are both very sad about it.” But, of course, no one would be surprised if they reconciled.”

Carl proposed to Katie in April of last year, just 10 months after they began dating, marking the mother-of-seventh five’s engagement.

Fans feared the couple was in trouble this week after all images of Katie vanished from Carl’s Instagram account.

She later appeared on Instagram without her massive diamond ring, raising concerns.

Carl filed for divorce just days after he was accused of using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour in a fight with Katie.

Carl is scheduled to stand trial after pleading not guilty to threatening and abusive behaviour.

He arrived at Colchester Magistrates’ Court holding hands with Katie, but later posted a cryptic message with the caption “This is what loyalty looks like,” alongside a photo of himself and his dog.

If he is found guilty, he could face up to six months in prison.

“On the evening of August 22, 2021, the defendant got into an argument with his partner at his home address,” prosecutor Leigh Hart told the court.

“As a result, his partner left his property to go to another.”

“The defendant followed her and attempted to force the door of that property, and was overheard by neighbours shouting outside in the street.”

Mark Davies, Carl’s attorney, told the court that the incident was “nothing more than a squabble.”

Carl was released on unconditional bail.

Romantic break

The court date came after the couple, who appeared to be in love, returned from a romantic trip to Southeast Asia.

While they were away, Carl was seen tenderly stroking her stomach as they relaxed by the swimming pool at their complex, sparking rumours that she was pregnant.

Katie is already the mother of Harvey, 19, with ex-footballer Dwight Yorke, Junior, 16, and Princess, 14, with first husband Peter Andre, and Jett, 8, and Bunny, 7, with third husband Kieran Hayler.

Wedding and baby plans

Katie revealed plans to expand her brood after her most recent stint in rehab, saying she wanted a large family with the Essex car salesman.

In a statement to fans, she stated: “I’ve found the courage to make a positive change in my life.

“With weekly therapy and focusing on my future with Carl Woods and marriage.

“And having babies, and committing to being a woman in power again.”

She stated at the start of last year that all she wanted for 2021 was a husband and a child with Carl, who appeared on ITV’s Love Island in 2016.

“I’m not getting any younger . . . I do look younger as I get older but you know what I mean,” she told The Sun.
