Senior Buckingham Palace officials are putting military-style measures in place to convey the Queen to Prince Philip’s funeral ceremony.

Last week, the frail 95-year-old monarch withdrew from the Commonwealth Day event due to concerns for her “comfort.”

According to royal officials, Her Majesty has had mobility challenges, making it difficult for her to walk around “on some days.”

The Queen is keen to attend the Duke of Edinburgh’s thanksgiving, and authorities are considering a wide range of transportation alternatives to bring her there.

Senior officials, according to The Sun on Sunday, will arrange for Her Majesty to be flown by helicopter from Windsor Castle to Buckingham Palace for a 15-minute flight.

Despite the fact that the Queen was seen on her feet for face-to-face engagements in Windsor last week, her aides are unhappy with her walking roughly 100 yards from the Abbey entrance across the nave and choir to her seat.

They want to drive her the short distance from the Palace and close off the entire Dean’s Yard to the west of the Abbey so they may park in solitude outside a side entrance.

To keep paparazzi from photographing her as she exits the car, six-foot privacy screens or even a football-style tunnel may be installed.
