Amy Schumer, the co-host of the 2022 Academy Awards, has recently disclosed another joke she was supposedly barred from saying during the programme.

In March, Schumer co-hosted the 94th Annual Academy Awards event with Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes. She sheared the joke, which was rejected by the ceremony’s producers.

During a stand-up show at the Netflix Is a Joke festival, the comic revealed the ‘explicit’ joke to the crowd.

“So my husband was going down on me, or as he refers to it, Squid Game,” Schumer explained. “So he’s in my Nightmare Alley, my House Of Gucci, and I scream, ‘Come on, come on.'” He goes tick tick…bang! “Get off my Dune, that’s how our baby was born,” I say.

“Can you believe they said no to that?” she added. “Can you believe it?”

The joke refers to many films that were nominated for Oscars during the event, as well as Mike Mills’ acclaimed drama C’mon C’mon, which was not nominated for anything, and Squid Game, a TV show.

During a stand-up concert last month, Schumer disclosed gags removed from the ceremony. Along with references to James Franco and Joe Rogan, one of the jokes alluded to Alec Baldwin and the Rust set shooting that murdered cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

Despite the safeguards, Schumer faced harsh criticism after making a joke about Kirsten Dunst in which she feigned to mistake her for a seat-filler.
