On May 26, it was stated that the 41-year-old singer has sold his entire song library to Hipgnosis Song Management, which includes Billboard chart-topping hit songs like “Cry Me A River,” “Rock Your Body,” “Not A Bad Thing,” and “Seorita.” According to The Wall Street Journal, the deal is worth $100 million.

Justin added in a statement, “I am excited to be partnering with [Hipgnosis founder and CEO Merck Mercuriadis].” “He has always been a major supporter of songwriting and narrative, and he values artists and their creative labour. I’m excited to get started on the next chapter.”

Hipgnosis will control Justin’s copyright, ownership, and the financial interests of the writer and publisher’s part of the star’s public performance money in the future, in addition to his full music catalogue.

The singer, who recently featured in the Hulu series Candy alongside his wife Jessica Biel, joins a growing list of well-known musicians who have sold their portfolios in the last year.
Hipgnosis Song Management purchased portions of Shakira’s and Neil Young’s song collections in January.
