Nick Jonas tells how he honoured Priyanka Chopra’s first Mother’s Day after welcoming their baby daughter

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra welcomed their surrogate daughter in January  Malti Marie Chopra Jonas has been named by the couple, who also published her first photo on Instagram, detailing how she returned home after spending 100 days in the NICU. In an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Nick described his fatherhood adventure thus far as “pretty wild.”

While appearing on Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Nick revealed how Priyanka and him celebrated her first Mother’s Day. Speaking to Fallon, Nick revealed, “It was her first one, so did a little thing at the house. Got her a citrus tree that I’m going to plant this week.” When asked if it held some special significance, Nick further added, “New life, new things and the beauty of citrus trees.”

It was Nick’s first appearance on the Fallon programme since becoming a parent, and when Jimmy congratulated him, Nick replied that it had been “pretty wild,” adding, “Our little girl is home.” She’s doing fantastic. What a wonderful gift a baby is.

The actor also discussed obtaining parenting advice, joking that everyone is “newborn care specialists” and that they get a lot of advise from everyone around them.

In a statement, Priyanka and Nick expressed their pleasure at the prospect of welcoming their first child together. The couple did not show their daughter’s face in their first photo with her. The couple thanked all of the medical experts who assisted them after welcome her home after a difficult 100 days in the NICU.
