Selena Gomez, an award-winning singer and songwriter, has announced that she will host Saturday Night Live on May 14 with rapper Post Malone as the musical guest, and fans are ecstatic.
The actress, 29, is overjoyed since she will be hosting for the first time as the late-night sketch comedy show enters its 47th season.
Gomez will be joined by the Circles rapper, 26, who will perform as the musical guest for the episode in his first SNL appearance.
The actress announced the news on Instagram on Friday, captioning a photo of the announcement with the words “Mom… I think I’ve made it.”

She continued, “so grateful and so excited. See you May 14!!!”
The rapper, whose real name is Austin Post, just announced that he and his fiancée are expecting their first child, which coincides with the SNL announcement.
“I’m excited for this next chapter in my life, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, and for since I could remember I was sad,” Malone told PEOPLE. “Time to take care of my body and my family and friends, and spread as much love as we can every day.”
