- Amber Heard’s scenes as Mera are said to be cut from ‘Aquaman’ sequel.
- A test screening will reveal the truth about her character’s death at the hands of Aquaman.
In another tweet, Greg Ellis says, “Breaking: ALL AMBER HEARD SCENES will be COMPLETELY DELETED from #AQUAMAN2.”
He added, “No “official” word from the studio yet… no denial either… more soon.”

Despite the fact that major production for the film was supposed to have wrapped earlier this year, reshoots to wrap up loose ends are still possible given the film has a year until it hits theatres.
Heard’s role in the film was called into question when her attorneys stated that she was on the verge of losing her job and that she couldn’t renegotiate for more money due to the backlash over her domestic abuse accusations against Johnny Depp.

Walter Hamada, the head of Warner Bros.’ DC division, was called to testify on the charges, and he maintained that the sexual assault allegations had no influence on casting decisions for ‘Aquaman 2’. Hamada said, “They didn’t have a lot of chemistry together,” added, “Editorially they were able to make that relationship work in the first movie, but there was a concern that it took a lot of effort to get there.”
