Ana de Armas as Marilyn sits in her makeup chair as an artist adds the final touches to her face in the teaser. “Please come, don’t abandon me,” she sobs, as the makeup artist responds, “She is coming.” The film’s reenactment of Marylin’s iconic white dress scene is then shown in the trailer.

After that, we watch a montage of Marylin attending premieres and events and appearing to be overwhelmed by the press and crowds. The minute-long teaser concludes with Marylin staring in the mirror and laughing, while the makeup artist’s voice is heard again, “She is coming, she is almost here.”

According to the official synopsis from Netflix. , “Blonde boldly reimagines the complicated life of icon Marilyn Monroe. Blurring the lines of fact and fiction, the film artfully explores the tension between her public and private life.”

Blonde, directed by Andrew Dominik, is based on Joyce Carol Oates’ classic novel. The film will be released on Netflix on September 23 and stars Adrien Brody, Bobby Cannavale, and Sara Paxton.
