Joe Rogan weighed in on the defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, outlining why he doesn’t believe the actress should have to pay anything to her ex-husband.

For a few weeks, the Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard trial dominated the internet, inspiring a slew of memes, stories, and hot opinions from just about everyone.

Joe Rogan, the host of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast and a UFC pundit, was no exception, listening in live when the decision was read.

Depp was granted $15 million in damages, while Heard was awarded $2 million in compensatory damages, but Rogan believes that the Aqua Man star has already suffered enough throughout the trial.

During episode 125 of the Joe Rogan Experience, the host was watching the verdict come in and expressed his thoughts about Heard owing Depp money.

“Look, I don’t want her to have to pay him money. I really don’t,” Rogan said. “I think that lady’s broken and psychologically she’s so damaged, she’s so crazy. I think the real punishment is that she’s been exposed to the world how insane she is.”

Amber Heard, according to Joe, needs to go to the jungle and spend some time alone in nature before returning to the public eye.

Rogan stated that “then [she] should come back to apologize,” before comparing the trial’s outcome to a one-sided UFC match.
