Johnny Depp won’t be playing Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean 6.
Many actors auditioned for the role before Johnny Depp, including Jim Carrey.
Hugh Jackman, Michael Keaton, Robert DeNiro, and Christopher Walken were also considered.
Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow has become an iconic character, which is why the news that he won’t be returning for Pirates of the Caribbean 6 pains his fans the most. There is a lot of buzzes right now about the actor and his part. He was dismissed by Disney after Amber Heard filed assault charges against him. The former couple was involved in a contentious slander case, which Depp won. While fans want him to return, he is resolute about not doing so.
Before Depp, many actors were considered for the role of Captain Jack Sparrow. Jim Carrey, for example, auditioned for the Pirates of the Caribbean role after being offered it. The Mask’s actor, however, is claimed to have rejected the role owing to a scheduling clash with his 2003 feature Bruce Almighty.
No one else is allowed to associate with the persona now except him, Depp, as he served it well. Many other celebrities, including Hugh Jackman, Matthew McConaughey, Robert DeNiro, Michael Keaton, and Christopher Walken, were reportedly given the Pirates of the Caribbean part.
