Netflix: Nicole, Zac, and Joey King collaborate on an untitled comedy film

• Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron, and Joey King are set to star in an untitled Netflix comedy.
• Kidman has become a Netflix sensation with her trilogy The Kissing Booth.
• King will appear in Hulu’s The Princess, which launches July 1.

According to Deadline, Netflix has collected an all-star cast for their upcoming untitled romantic comedy. Richard LaGravenese,  who also authored Behind The Candelabra, is set to direct the film, which will star Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron, and Joey King. For Roth/Kirschenbaum Films, Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Alyssa Altman produce, while LaGravenese co-wrote the screenplay with Carrie Solomon.

The plot, on the other hand, centers around a surprising romance that has humorous consequences for a young woman, her mother, and her movie star boss as they struggle with issues of love, sex, and identity. The project has been approved, and filming will begin later this year. Surprisingly, Kidman has a light comedy on her upcoming calendar, following a year of stunning dramatic twists that began with the Hulu series Nine Perfect Strangers. She was then nominated for an Academy Award for her performance as Lucille Ball in Being Ricardos.

Meanwhile, Efron will be returning to Netflix, where he most recently acted as serial killer Ted Bundy in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile. Efron will next appear in Apple’s The Greatest Beer Run Ever, Peter Farrelly’s first film since the Oscar-winning Green Book. On the other hand, with future projects like Hulu’s The Princess, which launches on July 1, and the highly anticipated Bullet Train, King is as busy as any other actor. She, too, has become a Netflix sensation because of the success of her trilogy The Kissing Booth, in which she stars.

According to Deadline, Kidman is represented by CAA, Media Talent, and Jackoway Austen, while Efron is represented by WME, Johnson, Shapiro, and Gang, Tyre. King is represented by UTA, Industry Entertainment, and Hirsch Wallerstein.
