Pedro Pascal has said that playing Baby Yoda in ‘The Mandalorian’ has made him want to start a family of his own.

According to femalefirst.co.uk, the actor portrays Din Djarin in the ‘Star Wars’ spin-off TV programme, where his character becomes the guardian of a foundling kid named Grogu, who has been dubbed Baby Yoda by fans due to his similarity to the legendary figure.

Pedro Pascal, 47, has said that he has built a strong emotional bond with Grogu, which has inspired him to create a family.

Talking at the Anaheim Convention Center in California for the ‘Star Wars’ Celebration,’ he said, “It’s the closest I’ve ever come to being a dad – so far, anyway. To see a child love his father like that – I get it. Maybe I should have one.”

During the event, Pedro’s character was reunited with Baby Yoda in a teaser video for ‘The Mandalorian’s forthcoming third season.

“My heart just exploded inside my body,” Pedro Pascal stated at the convention, expressing his delight at the news that Baby Yoda will continue to be a member of the ensemble.

As Pedro Pascal stated to the audience, “In the last five or six years, we’ve started to feel all of your love for the prequels that we made.”

Added, “The truth is that’s meant an enormous amount to us, and to me personally. It didn’t feel that way necessarily when they came out at first, so to feel the warmth that you all have for them has made the whole experience just the most amazing thing.”
