Pinocchio first trailer , the next live-action Disney film, is now out. The adventure film, which stars Tom Hanks as Geppetto, brings the famous narrative to life in the same way that the titular puppet does.
We see less of our protagonists in this initial clip and more of the supporting characters, such as Jiminy Cricket and ‘Honest’ John Worthington Foulfellow (spoilers: not so honest). If you’re unfamiliar with the Disney film, after creating Pinocchio, Geppetto goes to bed one night wanting the wooden lad could come to life. Fortunately for him, magic still exists, and Pinocchio comes to life. They live blissfully together until our young hero gets seduced by the allure of travelling life (he is enslaved by a circus).
Geppetto embarks on a perplexing adventure to save his son. Pleasure Island is a location with a big whale named Monstro. The original animated film is a Disney classic, and based on this trailer, Robert Zemeckis has succeeded to recreate that charm.
The footage was posted to promote Disney Plus Day, which will take place on September 8.
