Sarah Jessica Parker dismisses rumours of a catfight with Sex and the City co-star Kim Cattrall

• On The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast, Sarah Jessica Parker broke her silence on a “rumoured catfight”
• Rumors were roaming about fight with Sex and the City co-star Kim Cattrall.

Parker stated on Thursday’s programme that she has never engaged in a “cat-fight” with Cattrall, as reported in the media.

“I’ve never spoken anything negative about anyone I’ve ever worked with in my life. There is no ‘battle’ being place.

“There has been no public disagreement, argument, conversation, or claim made by me or anybody on my behalf,” she said.

Parker, on the other hand, wishes that the media “would stop labelling this a ‘cat-fight’ or a ‘argument,’ since it doesn’t reflect (reality) because only one person has spoken.”

“It’s really difficult to talk about the issue with Kim because I’ve been so careful about not ever wanting to say anything that is unpleasant, since it’s not the way I prefer to conduct talks as intricate as this,” the 57-year-old said.

According to media sources, Parker and Cattrall’s friendship soured after the latter was not cast in SATC’s third film, And Just Like That.

According to Page Six, Cattrall made exorbitant contractual demands of Warner Bros. in 2017 in order to feature in the revival of SATC, which Parker said the company refused to satisfy.

Parker went on to explain why Cattrall was not cast in this film.

“We didn’t invite her because she made it obvious that wasn’t something she wanted to pursue, and it no longer felt comfortable for us, so it didn’t occur to us,” she explained.

“That’s not’slamming’ her, that’s simply learning,” the Failure To Launch actress concluded. You have to listen to someone, and if they’re openly discussing something, you get to the point where you’re like, “Well, we hear that.”
