One year has passed since the dreadful night in Islamabad when Noor Mukadam, a former diplomat’s daughter, was brutally murdered by Zahir Jaffer after being physically and sexually assaulted by him.
One year has passed since the horrifying incident that saw Noor, 27, brutally murdered, but her family and parents are still waiting and seeking justice.
“It will be a year after Noor separated from us on July 20,” She said she and her family and relatives knew how they have spent the last one year. “We haven’t slept at night and haven’t found comfort during the day either since our daughter left.”

She also asked that on Wednesday, July 20, all women assemble in F9 park to stand with her in remembrance of Noor and defend the protection of their daughters.
Celebrities from Pakistan also came forward to show their support for the tragedy. Ushna Shah, a star of Lollywood, laments the lack of justice. Sajal Aly and Mawra Hocane also expressed their opinions on the subject.
Noor Mukadam, the former ambassador’s daughter, was decapitated on July 20, 2021 in the F-7 neighbourhood of Islamabad. The dead was Shaukat Mukadam’s daughter; she was Pakistan’s ambassador to Kazakhstan and South Korea.
On the evening of July 20, the Islamabad police detained suspect Zahir Zakir Jaffer at his residence, where, in the opinion of Noor’s parents, he murdered her with a sharp object and severed her skull.
