Ranbir Kapoor Excitedly Gives A Start Into His Baby’s Nursery

Ranbir Kapoor and wife Alia Bhatt are expecting their first child together. Ranbir is also returning to the silver screen after a gap of four years, with the film Shamshera releasing on Friday. He plays a dual role —of a father and his son—in the film for the first time. In real life as well, Ranbir is all set to become a dad. The actor has now revealed how he is preparing for his new role.

Ranbir said on RJ Stutee’s chat show, in response to a question about how he is getting ready for the birth of his first child, “Right now, I’m just dreaming with my wife and taking each day as it comes. You read your stories, just like every other soon-to-be parent does. We have started to build the nursery, so we are doing all the fun things. But there is nothing that can compare to the excitement, nervousness, and worry about something like this. It’s unbeatable, so I’m taking it one day at a time.”

In a recent interview with Film Companion, Ranbir seems to have started the rumour that Alia Bhatt is expecting twins. He was told to tell two truths and one lie, but it wasn’t clear which one was the lie. He told his fans, “I’m having twins, I’m going to be in a big mythology movie, and I’m taking a long break from work.” His fans had to figure out what was a lie. He later asked everyone to stop making a big deal out of what he had said.

Alia and Ranbir got married in April at Ranbir’s house. Only close friends and family members were there. Alia told everyone last month that she was pregnant by posting a picture from an ultrasound. At the time, she was working on her first movie in Hollywood. She recently went back to India to finish work on Karan Johar’s film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.

Brahmastra, the first movie Alia and Ranbir will be in together, will also come out in September. The movie is the first in a trilogy and was directed by Ayan Mukerji. It stars Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy.
