Janhvi Kapoor was first choice for film Liger: Director Puri Jagannadh

Puri Jagannadh, the director of the film Liger, recently said in a promotional interview that Janhvi Kapoor was his first choice to play the lead role in the film.

The director told the media, “I am a big fan of Sridevi ji, so I wanted to cast Janhvi Kapoor, but her dates were not available.”

Later, Puri approached Karan Johar for advice on the film’s starring lady, and Johar proposed to Ananya.

Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya will play the key parts in the film Liger, which will be released on August 25.

It will be published in several other languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
