Mona Singh said Laal Singh Chaddha can’t be labelled hit or flop
In a recent interview, Mona Singh talked about the Laal Singh Chaddha movie, which starred Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Despite the movie’s poor box office results, the actor claimed that it “will stick with people for a long time.” Laal Singh Chaddha is not a “short-term picture” that can be “labeled hit or flop,” the actor continued. Laal Singh Chaddha will debut on Netflix on October 20, 2022, according to a recent report. It is the Hindi adaptation of the Tom Hanks-starring Forrest Gump, a Hollywood classic.
“The film (Laal Singh Chaddha) will reach more people when it releases on Netflix. They will have a different point of view. This isn’t a short-term film that can be labelled hit or flop. It will stay with people for a long time,” Mona Singh said in a recent interview with Mid-Day. The actor added, “I am so glad to be a part of such a sweet film.”
Earlier, Mona, who played the mother of Laal Singh Chaddha in the movie, discussed how well the film did at the box office. Mona had said, “I am not a filmy person and don’t understand box office at all. This is the third film of my life. What is so satisfying is whoever has seen the film has only good things to say about it. That is what I take from it. I don’t want to think about the short term things like how much money it made, that’s beyond me. I am sure I am part of a movie which will be remembered for a very long time.”
The following short film starring Mona is Ek Chup, directed by Sonya V. Kapoor. The increase in domestic violence cases during the Covid-19 outbreak is a topic covered in depth in the movie. Prior to this, Mona had roles in shows like Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahi and the popular movie 3 Idiots.
