With the news that HBO has renewed Industry for a third season, Pierpoint & Co. will reopen its doors and once again let the world of banking and trading in.

Anyone who has become thoroughly engrossed in the life of the young people seeking to succeed in business won’t be surprised by the news given the outpouring of support the show received for its second season, which ended on September 19.

Viewers got to know a bunch of recently graduated bankers who were hoping to make it big in their… industry – through the first and second seasons.

The newcomers must toil and struggle to maintain their positions in a world that has recovered from the 2008 stock market crash.

After their first year as professionals, the graduates showed signs of maturation and independence in the second season.

It is quite evident that only the strong will survive in this new management environment, which puts Pierpoint’s very survival in jeopardy.

Although there haven’t been any casting announcements for Industry’s third season, the most of the main characters are likely to return.

Myha’la Herrold, Marisa Abela, Harry Lawtey, David Jonsson, Ken Leung, Conor MacNeill, Alex Alomar Akpobome, Indy Lewis, Katrine de Candole, Jay Duplass, Sonny Poon Tip, and Adam Levy were among the outstanding cast members of the second season.

Sarah Parish, Nicholas Bishop, Sagar Radia, Mark Dexter, and Caoilfhionn Dunne made.

It’s not surprising that Industry has found an audience given how popular shows depicting the inner workings of businesses have become in recent years.

Audiences simply can’t get enough of a good entrepreneurial-spirit-based drama, whether it be a scripted production like Succession or a documentary like The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley, which oversimplifies the narrative of Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes.

The senior vice president of HBO Programming, Kathleen McCaffrey, acknowledged the popularity of Industry and praised the show for “[reaching] new heights in season two, cementing its status as a buzzy hit with addictive storytelling, layered characters, a breakneck pace, and keen observations about contemporary workplace dynamics.”

Along with Jami O’Brien, the series’ creators Mickey Down and Konrad Kay serve as writers and executive producers.

Executive producers Jane Tranter, David P. Davis, Ryan Rasmussen, and BBC’s Ben Irving work with Bad Wolf Productions to produce for HBO/BBC.

Additionally, Edo Ferretti works as a producer. The series, which boasts a crowded writers room, is also written by Charly Evon Simpson, Joseph Charlton, Zara Meerza, and Matthew Barry. Directors include Caleb Femi, Isabella Eklöf, and Birgitte Staermose.

Below is a trailer for season two of the programme, and if you need to catch up, seasons one and two are also currently streaming on HBO Max.
