As Amy Schumer hosted the third episode of Saturday Night Live, she made it abundantly clear that she disapproves of Kanye West’s antisemitic comments and that she has condemned them.

“My husband [Chris Fischer] is diagnosed … on the autism spectrum. He has autism spectrum disorder, [which] used to be called Asperger’s, but then they found out — this is true — that Dr. Asperger had, like, Nazi ties, Kanye,” the Life & Beth alum, 41, joked in her Saturday, November 6, monologue, before pretending like her microphone had been turned off. “Isn’t that crazy?”

The Yeezy designer, who is 45 years old, made headlines a month ago when he posted a series of antisemitic messages on social media. In these posts, he claimed he wanted to engage in “death con 3” on members of the Jewish faith and shared a number of false conspiracy theories.

“I will say I’m sorry for the people that I hurt with the ‘death con’ [comments],” West later apologized during an October 19 appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored. “I feel like I caused hurt and confusion. And I’m sorry for the families of the people that had nothing to do with the trauma that I had been through, and that I used my platform where you say hurt people hurt people. I was hurt.”

The rapper known as “Heartless” has maintained his defence of his behavior, despite the fact that he has since lost multimillion-dollar brand deals with Balenciaga, Adidas, and Gap. Along with Instagram and Twitter, Vogue magazine and CAA (Creative Artists Agency) have severed ties with West. Additionally, West’s accounts have been temporarily banned multiple times on both Instagram and Twitter.

“Kanye West was suspended from Instagram again for posting a disparaging message about Jewish people,” Michael Che said during his “Weekend Update” segment on Saturday. “Huh? Seems like he’s doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results, which I’ve heard is the definition of something.”

The comedian, who is 39 years old, went on to say, “I’ve noticed a trend with Kanye: When his business deals went bad, he just started calling it a Jewish conspiracy. It’s kind of like when his albums went bad and he started calling it ‘gospel.'”

The man who was born and raised in Chicago has not commented publicly on the fact that he has been the subject of jokes on Saturday Night Live; however, the long-running variety show has previously addressed his antics. During Jack Harlow’s debut as a host in October, the cast members made a fictional advertisement for Skechers and praised the footwear brand for condemning antisemitism and ejecting West from their office after an unsanctioned visit.
