Joe Jonas discusses his exact relationship with Sophie Turner.

After spending most of his life in the public eye, the Jonas Brothers member claims his relationship with Sophie Turner helped him realize he needed to protect his privacy.

In 2016, following a string of high-profile relationships, the former Disney star began a torrid relationship with Turner, who was then a household figure because of her starring role in the HBO show Game Of Thrones.

But he confesses that his initial relationship with the well-known British actress, whom he married in 2019, prompted him to realize that his private life had been portrayed too freely.

Jonas, 33, acknowledged to the most recent issue of the fashion bible Mr. Porter that this realization drove him to keep their relationship out of the spotlight.

He said: ‘I want to feel like an open book. But when we started dating I realized that I didn’t have a ton of stuff that was just for me. And in the end, it makes me a better person to have something for myself.’

The couple currently resides in New York City, where they are raising two young daughters whose names have not been made public in an effort to safeguard their privacy.

Jonas and Turner – who also avoided public social media announcements surrounding both pregnancies – had their second child in July, and the artist reveals he is still adjusting to his new role as a parent.

He said: ‘I’m a little less scared. You don’t need to check their pulse constantly to make sure they’re breathing. You get over those fears. I feel like a kid raising kids.’
