Omair Rana discloses untold story of the his drama Pinjra script
Dramas from Pakistan are under criticism these days for being of poor quality. There aren’t many new dramas that both the general population and critics like. Pinjra is one of the few currently airing storylines on Pakistani television that the public actually enjoys, and it is a script that provokes thought.
The late author Asma Nabeel wrote Pinjra. She was also the author of the hugely successful smash Khaani. Because of cancer, the author passed away before the project could be completed and screened.
A key character in the program, Omair Rana, revealed some hidden information about the screenplay. The actor claimed that the writing initially caused him problems. The team came together later with Pinjra director Najaf Bilgrami to make some adjustments to the script that would make the plot more tightly wound for the character he played because writer Asma Nabeel was still in the writing stage when she passed away.
Omair also mentioned how much he adored the show’s premise and wanted to give it his all. He claimed that Asma would have changed and improved the script herself if she had been present, but that following her untimely death, Najaf Bilgrami completed the task as well as she could.
