Among all horror movies, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is one of the most recognizable. In recent years, the grind-house backwoods horror show directed by Tobe Hooper that made Leatherface famous has received a lot of attention and new items to honor the film’s frightening heritage.

The slasher is almost 50 years old. Now, Trick or Treat Studios is expanding Texas Chainsaw’s ever-expanding line of merchandise with a terrifying new board game.

Scott Rogers created the game, aptly dubbed “Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Game,” with Terry Wolfinger providing the illustrations.

The game has you and three pals reenact the events of the 1974 movie. It begins with your van running out of petrol, which puts you in survival mode because Leatherface and his family aren’t far behind.

The game requires you to draw tokens from a “gruesome bag” in order to carry out actions, and the players cooperate to fend off this famous family.

However, if you accept too many tokens, Leatherface will become enraged, and horror fans are aware of what happens when a madman wearing a skin mask becomes enraged.

There will undoubtedly be a chase and a chainsaw fatality. You must be 14 years of age or older to play the hour-long game.

Many horror enthusiasts still regard The Texas Chain Saw Massacre as the scariest movie ever filmed today.

There is a valid explanation for that. If you dare to touch the movie Hooper made, blood will flow from the horrible cinematography of Daniel Pearl. With its masterfully macabre images, spooky sound design, and documentary-like feel, the movie never fails to terrify.

As soon as you hear John Larroquette’s mesmerizing narrative of what will happen, your heart starts to race. The introduction of Leatherface is one for the horror ages because of how intense feeling just intensifies with time.

Since 1974, the franchise has gone through several incarnations, but none of them quite hit you as hard as the original.

Brand Texas Chainsaw may be more well-known than ever. In addition to this board game, the series received a new Netflix entry earlier this year, and in 2023 alone, the original film will debut in 4K and receive a video game.

For $59.95, you can pre-order “Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Game” at Trick or Treat. The date of release is slated for March 31, 2023. You can see the game’s box art and the 1974 movie’s trailer down below. Currently, you may watch the movie on Amazon Prime.
