Ajay Devgn doesn’t feel he’s disappointed audiences with Runway 34
In a new interview, actor Ajay Devgn talked about his movie Runway 34 and how it didn’t do well at the box office. When the actor thinks about the movie’s second chance on the OTT platform, he thinks that he did not disappoint his audience with the movie. The movie is made by Ajay’s company, Ajay Devgn Films, and he is the director.
Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan, and Rakul Preet Singh are all in the movie Runway 34. It tells the story of a flight landing that went wrong and the investigation into the pilots who did it. On its first day, the movie only made 3 crore, which some reports said was Ajay Devgn’s lowest opening day since his 2010 movie Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge. The movie also got mixed reviews from critics, and it was later shown on OTT.
When asked if he thinks about re-releasing a movie after the success of Runway 34, Ajay told Bollywood media, “Runway 34’s stupendous run on OTT and the compliments that followed made me feel partly vindicated. I was happy that as a filmmaker I had not failed my audience completely. I wish it had got a good run at the box office. Like I said in my earlier reply, the box office does matter. However, I would not consider (at least not at this stage) trying to re-release Runway 34 in theatres. Never say never it is said. So, who knows.”
