Beyoncé Texted Meghan Markle About ‘Generational Curses’

In volume two of Harry & Meghan, which hit Netflix Thursday, the Duchess of Sussex was touched when the music icon reached out to her in March 2021.
In episode six, Meghan stated, “Beyoncé just texted” as Prince Harry, 38, gasped.
Meghan smiled at the message. I can’t believe she recognizes me!
Harry: “Call her.” His wife said “no” “She wants me to be safe. She admires my guts and candour and believes I was chosen to break family curses.”
The California couple talked to Oprah about losing police protection, tensions with the royal family, and the sex of their unborn child (daughter Lilibet would be born that June). Meghan revealed that she had suicidal thoughts and that the royal family had “concerns and debates about [their child’s] skin”
The 28-time Grammy winner dedicated a tribute to Meghan on her website after the special aired.
Beyoncé thanked Meghan for her courage and leadership with a photo from The Lion King’s U.K. premiere. “You’ve inspired us all.”
Beyoncé and Meghan met in July 2019 during the London premiere of The Lion King, in which she voiced Nala. Beyoncé hugged Meghan, calling her “my princess.”
Many observers had a hard time believing this was the first time the two women met. The conversation swiftly moved to their children when Prince Harry and JAY-Z joined.
