Kennedy McMann shares Set photos as ‘Nancy Drew’ wraps filming

• Kennedy McMann has played Nancy Drew for almost four years.

• She took to Instagram to share her final moments on set.

Kennedy McMann, who has portrayed Nancy Drew’s title character on The CW’s mystery series for almost four years, is now saying goodbye to the part.

Since 2019, she has been investigating the paranormal mysteries that surround the town of Horseshoe Bay, assembling a small team of sleuths to delve into the town’s past and ultimately discover what is responsible for each occurrence.

She posted on Instagram to share her final moments on set and reflect on how her life has changed since playing the role of the amateur sleuth, as the series is due to conclude when its fourth season airs in 2019.

With a picture from the day she finished filming the pilot and one from her final day on set for Season 4, her main post captures both the start and the conclusion of her adventure as Nancy.

She claimed that she was unsure of the series’ future as the pilot was being filmed. The programme eventually ran for four seasons, received a spinoff in the form of Tom Swift, and rose to prominence on The CW.

In her statement, McMann described her journey since becoming Nancy and thanked her supporters as well as her coworkers, saying:

‘I started this journey at 22 and finish now at 26. I’ve grown up, I’ve gotten married, I’ve bought a house, I’ve found myself, I’ve lived an absolute childhood dream. This experience has completely changed my life. What an incredible gift. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making my dreams come true. For giving me this. And thank you even more to our incredible crew, who have been my family, who have shaped and encouraged me, who have given so much for what we have created. You are what made this especially great, you are who I showed up for, and you will always have my heart.’

As the series came to a close, McMann posted two additional photos of herself and the other cast members sharing hugs. Along with her co-stars Leah Lewis, Maddison Jaizani, Alex Saxon, Tunji Kasim, Riley Smith, and Scott Wolf, she will get to make her exit in Season 4.

What ‘Nancy Drew’ Fans Can Expect Season 4

Given McMann’s prior remarks, Nancy Drew appears to be coming to a natural finish with Season 4. After a struggle with her ancestor Temperance Hudson (played by Olivia Taylor Dudley and Bo Martynowska), Nancy must deal with the curse Temperance imposed on her before dying, which prohibits her from acting on her affections for Ace.

The Drew Crew will also undergo growth in the forthcoming season as they start their own careers and experience the beginnings of adulthood before a brand-new mystery brings them all back together.

Nancy Drew was conceived by Noga Landau, Stephanie Savage, and Josh Schwartz, and its last season will be directed by Landau and Melinda Hsu Taylor once more.
