You may now read the screenplay for “The Batman” online

• Sources has made available the script, directed by Matt Reeves.
• The movie centres on a youthful Robert Pattinson who teams up with Catwoman.
• Part 2 is currently in development, with Reeves returning to serve as director.

Fans of The Batman can now read the script for the most recent major motion picture adaptation of The Dark Knight. As part of its Read The Screenplay series, sources has made available the script for The Batman, directed by Matt Reeves.

Reeves and Peter Craig wrote the script for The Batman. The movie centres on a youthful Bruce Wayne/Batman (Robert Pattinson), who teams up with Jim Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) to stop the Riddler, a notorious serial killer (Paul Dano).

As a result, he teams up with Selina Kyle/Catwoman (Zo Kravitz). Also agreeing to assist Catwoman in finding her lost companion Annika Kosolov is Batman. Batman and Gordon also have to contend with Carmine Falcone’s corruption in Gotham City (John Turturro).

A deleted scene from the movie in which Batman visits Arkham Asylum to speak with the Joker (Barry Keoghan) is also included in the screenplay.

He asks the criminal in the scenario what kind of person he thinks the Riddler could be. The Joker only had a cameo appearance in the finished version of the movie when he met the Riddler/Edward Nashton in Arkham toward the conclusion.

In 2019, Reeves remarked, “It’s more Batman in his investigative mode than we’ve seen in the movies.” “That has a history in comic books. He’s supposed to be the best investigator in the world, but it hasn’t always come through in the movies.”

It was revealed that Pattinson had been chosen to be the new Dark Knight in May 2019. The Batman 2 is currently in development, with Reeves returning to serve as director.

The sequel’s release date has not yet been specified. HBO Max is presently developing two television spin-offs, one centred on Penguin/Oswald Cobblepot (Colin Farrell) and the other on Arkham.

HBO Max is presently offering The Batman for streaming. The Flash, which will be released in 2023, will be the next big-screen adaptation of The Dark Knight, with Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck both reprising their roles.
