Austin Butler was there at Lisa Marie Presley’s open memorial service on Sunday at Graceland.

As celebrities like Alanis Morissette and Axl Rose gave tribute performances in honour of Elvis’ only kid, the actor and his fiancée Kaia Gerber sat directly behind the Presley family.

Butler, 31, complemented Gerber, 21, in the same solemn suit, wearing a black peacoat, matching dress pants, and dress shoes.

Since January 2022, the two have been dating. This comes after Gerber’s well-publicized split from “Euphoria” actor Jacob Elordi.

Along with his wife, Catherine Martin, who created the costumes for “Elvis,” Luhrmann also attended the service. 60-year-old Australian director of a movie approached Butler at one point and gave him a hug. Lisa Marie, 54, passed away on January 12th.

Riley, Finley, Harper, and Priscilla, the singer’s daughters and mother, are in my heart right now because of Lisa Marie’s awful and unexpected passing, Butler stated in a statement.

“I will always treasure the calm times we spent together and I will be eternally grateful for the time I was fortunate enough to spend beside her bright light. Her genuine warmth, compassion, and kindness will never be forgotten.

Just a few days prior, Butler had received the 2023 Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Drama for his portrayal of the late King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.

Butler praised Lisa Marie and Priscilla Presley in his victory speech for allowing him access to their “hearts,” “memories,” and “home” as he prepared for the part. He said, “Priscilla, Lisa Marie, I love you forever.”

Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, talent agent Jerry Schilling, and Riley, Lisa Marie’s 33-year-old daughter, also paid tribute during the memorial service on Sunday.

Ben Smith-Petersen, the actress’s husband, ascended the stage to read Riley’s statement, indicating that they had secretly welcomed their daughter together before Lisa Marie died.

“I appreciate you proving to me that the only thing that matters in this life is love. Part of the message said, “I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me, the way you loved my brother and my sisters.

“I’m grateful that you gave me my heart, my courage, my humor, my manners, my temper, my wildness, and my stubbornness. My sister, my brother, and I are all products of your heart, as well as our sisters.

In the Graceland Meditation Garden, Lisa Marie was buried close to her loving son Benjamin, who committed suicide in 2020. In the garden of the home in Memphis, Tennessee, are also buried Elvis and his parents, Vernon and Gladys Presley.

Lisa Marie also leaves behind Finley and Harper Lockwood, twins who are 14 years old, and Riley.
