The female students who are accused of abusing a classmate have been granted pre-arrest bail by a local court in Lahore, the provincial capital. Jannat Malik, Kainat Malik, and Umaima Qaisar submitted the petition for the issuance of bail in accordance with section 498 CRPC. The petitioner requested pre-arrest release from the court, arguing that they were implicated in a “false, unjustified, and manufactured prosecution.”

The petitioner even provided the complainant the illegal substance while claiming that they have a drug issue. Pre-arrest bail was extended till January 30 by Judge Zafar Iqbal of the Lahore Sessions Court, who also ordered the defendants to provide surety bonds of Rs 50,000 apiece.

The development comes as authorities have begun looking for the four female school pupils who are suspected of torturing a classmate.

Police conducted raids at the accused’s homes, but the family members escaped the police encirclement in the affluent neighborhood of the province capital. The victim girl’s father filed a criminal complaint, so the police obtained a medical examination for her.

After a video of three girls shoving a classmate to the ground and sitting on her while other students filmed the event went popular on social media, it was reported that detectives also questioned the school administration in this respect. One of the girls is seen in the video abusing the victim while yanking her hair and making her apologize for something that has not yet been officially verified.
