Dharmendra shares unseen photo from old talent contest
Dharmendra shared an unseen photo of himself submitted for a talent contest before he became an actor. The legendary actor disclosed that Anwar, the grandson of the original photographer, Jaan Mohammed, who had taken his images for the 1958 talent contest, had given him the black-and-white image. He ultimately won the competition, but the movie where he was to make his acting debut never materialized. Instead, he made his acting debut in 1960 with Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere, directed by Arjun Hingorani.
Sharing the old black-and-white photograph on Twitter, Dharmendra wrote, “A photo, which was still with Anwar ….grandson of Jaan Mohammed who clicked my photos for Filmfare talent contest…. …..Today Anwar came to meet me and showed this left out photo….. i grabbed it to show this to you all. Hope you like it.”
