James Gunn responded to a fan’s tweet that the Suicide Squad creator and Peter Safran are serving as the new bosses of the DC Universe and it has already created a lot of noise. Gunn, 56, who also served as the director on The Guardians of the Galaxy is best known to have a close-knit relationship with the actors he works with and some fans are suggesting that he should not bring Marvel actors into the new DC films.

An internet user on Twitter mentioned Gunn in a tweet while asking him not to “encourage” his Guardians cast to “follow” him to DCU suggesting to “find fresh actors that can craft brilliant characters and forge new memories for audiences.”

In a prompt reply, Gunn clarified and provided further information about the casting for the movies he is currently working on.  Our story will begin by focusing on an earlier time period.

“We need to fill hundreds of posts. As I always do, there will be some familiar faces, some actors I have worked with before, and other actors I have never worked with, Gunn tweeted. He wrote, “The most important thing is that the actor matches the role and is a pleasure to work with. Previously, Gunn stated on social media in December 2022 that Superman was “a significant focus” in the new DC Universe.

In addition to that, he revealed that Henry Cavill will not be reprising his Man of Steel role. “The character will not be played by Henry Cavill as they are scripting a movie with a younger version of the superhero part of Superman’s life,” he tweeted.

However, he continued, “We recently had a terrific meeting with Henry, and we are big fans. We talked about a variety of intriguing opportunities to work together in the future. Gunn also hinted that he might reveal part of the upcoming DC slate at the end of the month.
