Julia Garner starring Madonna biopic ‘no longer’ moving forward
Julia Garner was supposed to feature in the pop icon’s biopic, but Variety reported on Tuesday that the project is not progressing at Universal Pictures.
The outlet claimed, citing numerous sources, that Madonna plans to “one day” make a film about her life, but for the time being, her only priority is the recently announced The Celebration Tour.
The pop queen revealed on social media a week ago that she would embark on her 12th world tour and embark on a new one. The tour, which is scheduled to start in July, will take her to 40 different cities.

According to the source, Universal Films first announced the early stages of the biopic’s development in 2020, and Madonna was tapped to serve as both the film’s co-writer and director.
It is important to note that Julia from Ozark was “chosen to play Madonna in the biopic” while the Material Girl singer collaborated on the script with Oscar winner Diablo Cody.
For those who are unaware, Madonna has already directed two motion pictures, including the 2011 film W.E. and the 2008 films Filth and Wisdom.
