Kate Middleton appeared to be all business as she attended a special meeting today focusing on her work with young children.

Kate welcomed eight childhood development experts to Windsor Castle after they were appointed to provide strategic advice on her early childhood work.

The team will continue to support Kate as she promotes the critical importance of a child’s first five years of life.

Kate Middleton arrived clutching a note pad before thanking the experts for their hard work in a smart black Alexander McQueen blazer with black Roland Mouret trousers that she teamed with a white blouse from Holland Cooper.

Professor Peter Fonagy, chief executive of the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, and Eamon McCrory, professor of developmental neuroscience and psychopathology at University College London, are among those on the panel.

Others include Dr. Alain Gregoire, the Maternal Mental Health Alliance’s founder, and Imran Hussain, Action for Children’s director of policy and campaigns.

The meeting takes place as Kate Middleton prepares to unveil a new revolutionary “three to five year programme” aimed at influencing the critical first five years of every child’s life.

During the gathering, Kate Middleton told them a key area that might be looked into is how to “develop the social and emotional skills which are vital for later life”.

She added: “Today I just want to think about and discuss what next, really. How do we keep this conversation going?

“The goal of this campaign is to raise awareness of the significance of this issue. And it’s about what we can do as a group to keep the conversation going and what we should do next.

“This campaign is really laying the groundwork for why early childhood is important.”

Kate Middleton stated that it is about what shapes us, our relationships, and our emotional experiences as children, as well as creating the “building blocks and scaffolding” for how we first begin to understand ourselves and others.
