Lady Gaga expressed her gratitude to the Academy for including her song Hold My Hand from the blockbuster movie Top Gun: Maverick in the category of Best Original Song. The Bad Romance singer posted a picture on Instagram while wearing very casual attire and a gorgeous bunch of flowers.
“Thank you so much to the Academy for nominating my song “Hold My Hand” for an Oscar this year,” Gaga, who previously won the prestigious prize for her song Shallow from A Star Is Born, tweeted. The musician continued, “Writing this song for the movie Top Gun: Maverick was a deep and emotional experience that I will never forget.
As the first artist to receive three nominations in the Best Original Song category, the singer has made history with her nomination. She continued, “So appreciative for the enchantment of music and film. Love you, my writing partner @bloodpop Big love to little monsters! I am now filming on location.
The Tom Cruise starrer surpassed global sales of $1.4 billion to become the highest-grossing movie of 2022 and earned a slot in the top 10 films of all time. Regarding Gaga, the singer-actor has been “lying low” ever since it was revealed that Joaquin Phoenix would play the major role in the Joker sequel.
