Madhuri Dixit talks about hook step of song ‘Tu Shayar Hai’

On Indian Idol 13, the actor Madhuri Dixit will make a guest appearance and sing some of her songs. Sony Entertainment Television published various videos of the actor from the singing reality competition on Instagram on Sunday.

On Indian Idol 13, Madhuri wore a yellow and white lehenga for the occasion. The show’s two judges are Vishal Dadlani and Himesh Reshammiya.

Madhuri discussed her hook step in the Saajan song Tu Shayar Hai Main Teri Shayari in one of the videos (1991).

Madhuri recalled her discussion with the choreographer Chinni Prakash, saying, “Chinni Prakash informed me, ‘For this, Tu Shayar Hai, I will give you an amazing movement (twines fingers).”

She added, “When he showed me this, I said, ‘Yeh kya movement huya? Yeh kaunsa shayar hai? Yeh kaesa shayar hota hai (What is this movement? Who is this poet? What kind of a poet is he)?'” Then Madhuri said that Chinni had guaranteed her that it would be a well-known move, to which she later added, “It did.”

Ek Do Teen (Tezaab), Yeh Mausam Ka Jadu (Hum Aapke Hain Koun), Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai (Khal Nayak), Dhak Dhak Karne Laga (Beta), Bahut Pyaar Karte Hai, and Dekha Hai Pehli Baar are just a few of the songs Madhuri danced to and performed to (Saajan). She performed her verse from the song Kaahe Chhed as well (Devdas).

The late Saroj Khan choreographed Bada Dukh Dina O Ramji, and Madhuri stated in one of the clips, “She was given the song blind for choreography. Sarojji performed in her own style. Subhash (Ghai) ji said, ‘This isn’t the character of the girl’.”

Saroj exclaimed, “Oh! And I choreographed the entire song.” following Subhash Ghai’s explanation of the film’s Madhuri character.

Additionally, Madhuri sang and spoke about Himesh’s song Jhalak Dikhla Ja (Aksar). She stated: “When my son was three years old, your song Jhalak Dikhla Jaa was released. He loved the song so much that every time I sat inside the car, he would say, ‘Mamma, Aaja Aaja’. I’ve heard the song many times.”

Later, Madhuri grinned when Himesh sung the song to her. Aditya Narayan serves as the host of the current Indian Idol season.
