Meghan Markle might publish a memoir to kickstart her political career because there are rumours that a book is in the works. The Duchess, a Democrat, has friendships with prominent figures in American politics with a leftward slant, notably the Obamas.
The 41-year-old has also long been predicted to pursue a career in politics; a November poll conducted exclusively indicated that she would be a popular pick for president.
It has long been a custom in America for memoirs to be published before political aspirations, with previous presidents Donald Trump and Barack Obama both publishing autobiographies before running for the presidency.
Meghan has taken a stand on a number of subjects, including voting and women’s rights. The Duchess would be a strong candidate for president, according to Joe Biden’s sister Valerie Biden Owens, who spoke to Good Morning Britain.
In response to allegations that the Duchess was planning an autobiography, an alleged Hollywood agency told on Sunday, “If she’s harbouring political ambitions it would make even more sense.”
The source went on to say that they would “be astonished” if Meghan didn’t publish her “equally fascinating” memoir after Prince Harry’s, which is scheduled to be published this month.
According to a different insider, Meghan’s autobiography is “already discreetly begun” and will “leave no stone unturned,” according to source.
On January 10, Harry’s autobiography Spare will be made available. It is said to be written with “raw, unflinching honesty.”
Just one month after the couple’s Netflix docuseries was launched, the book is expected to spark further discussion and focus attention on the Sussexes.
On December 8 and 15, two portions of Harry & Meghan, each consisting of three episodes, were published.
During a summit at Sandringham in January 2020 with the late Queen and then-Prince Charles, Harry claimed his brother William “screamed and shouted” at him in the docuseries, which garnered more than 81 million viewing hours in only four days following its debut.
Additionally, Meghan and Harry talked about how they met, fell in love, got married, and how tough it was to get used to royal life.
According to the streaming site, the programme broke Netflix’s viewership record for a documentary title and generated discussion among royal viewers from all over the world.
The Sussexes retired from their roles as working royals in 2020 and relocated to Montecito, California, where they now live with their two kids, Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1.
Meghan and Prince Harry were presented with a prize by the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights non-profit organisation last month. Kerry Kennedy, a niece of former US president John F. Kennedy, is the organization’s leader.
